More than 50 years of service: A big farewell to two Tscherning gentlemen

A big farewell to two Tscherning gentlemen

Almost 100 colleagues visited Tscherning's equipment department on Lillemosevej in Hedehusene on Thursday, as machine driver Morten "Skipper" Nielsen and insurance manager Ralf Hartkopf held a farewell reception before they both go on well-deserved retirement.

Ralf and Skipper have been employed by the Tscherning Group for 27 and 29 years. It is therefore a couple of very experienced gentlemen who, after long, faithful service, are now leaving the company.

"Ralf has always helped creating the Tscherning spirit, and initially he helped start the entire construction department", says Erik Høi, materials manager at Tscherning. "Ralf is always good for a funny story and anecdote - and in his own quiet way he always makes things work. For the past many years, Ralf has been responsible for our insurances and has over time saved us from many challenges. We will really miss him, his cheerful mood, and great knowledge”.

About Skipper, Erik Høi says: "At the age of 71, Skipper is still full of energy and is a real workhorse. Already when he started at Tscherning, he focused on how we could best recycle and sort building materials. He was therefore a forerunner of the green transition and far ahead of his time. Instead of seeing problems, he always sees tasks and solutions – and for Tscherning it has been a huge plus to benefit from Skipper's energy and knowledge for 29 years He will be missed”.

Both Ralf Hartkopf and Morten "Skipper" Nielsen will officially retire during January.
